What's Important To Us

The Bible encourages us not to forsake the fellowship of believers. It is important to meet together and share our experiences with how God is working in our lives. Jesus summarized the great commandment by saying love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. With such a saying you clearly understand the need to have fellowship with one another. Southgate Christian Fellowship was created to offer a warm environment where people can encounter the presence of Jesus and fellowship with each other.

The Word

Testimony

We teach from the Word of God, the Bible. The book of John says, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is the Word of God and the Bible is powerful, giving life to those who hear it. The Bible says the Word of God is sharper than a two edged sword, it is profitable for doctrine, reproof and for correction. The Bible is the living word and it is an essential part of hearing from God. It is the foundation that all revelatory insight must be compared with in order to determine if it reflects Jesus and the purposes of the Kingdom of God.

We share what God has done in our lives. Maybe He has healed you of an emotional or physical infirmity, it could be that He gave you favor at work, or you were able to share your faith. This builds relationships as we share the impact of God in our lives. It also increases the faith of others. We welcome prophetic words as modeled in the Bible. The Bible says the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (Rev.19:10). The Lord is, in these last days, pouring out revelation or prophetic insight, on all mankind. We desire to hear what the Lord is saying through his prophets and put these words into action.
